Coming from a creative background surrounded by resourceful people, I am a creator that enjoys spending time making things. Fashion has been a recent journey that I have begun, stemming from the need for change and self discovery. Within this industry, expression is very much at the forefront where the choice of clothing and accessories are the depiction of who you are or want to be.

In recent decades, the fashion industry has developed into ultra fast-fashion where clothing is becoming more like disposable plastic bottles. With hundreds of micro trends that are occurring each year, the value of clothing has significantly decreased leading to overproduction and overconsumption. This has caused unnecessary use of precious resources and waste, impacting millions of people and the planet. 

Wanting a future that is opposite to the projected one we are currently on, with climate change, exploitative human behaviour and so on, I want to create change to hopefully live in a place with less waste, a sense of safety and more meaning, a place where I can proudly call home.

With a main focus on sustainability and ethical production, I want to be able to use my creative and technical skills to be able to design unique and personal garments with value that people can wear and cherish for many years. Bringing back the emphasis on the value of connection between people and clothing so that they are not so readily disposed of. 

I wish for CLOWWD to help people find their path and express who they are, just as I am on that pathway too.
